Beer and Food Pairing Event at The Wilderness Grill

Beer and Food Pairing Event at The Wilderness Grill

As we excitedly await the spring golf season, The Wilderness has planned a fun event to tide us over. The Wilderness Grill's Dinner and Beer Tasting event will be held on Saturday, February 25th, and it is one you do not want to miss. Squatters Craft Beer and Wasatch Brewery have brought forth their finest beers in a variety of flavors to delight our guests and make it a night to remember.

The Meal

This gourmet meal will include our chef's most impressive main entrees. Choose either a seared 10oz pork chop topped with bacon, wild mushrooms, onions and a side of white rice and black eyed peas or braised brisket with sides of fingerling potatoes, grilled turnips and petite carrots. Is your mouth watering, yet? Because we are just getting started. All entrees include duck croquettes with a turnip puree and heirloom tomatoes as well as potato beer cheese soup, made with Wasatch brewery beer. Dessert will send you to the heavens with butterscotch pie, pecan brittle and butter rum ice cream.

The Beer

So enough about the food, let's talk about the beer! At this event, you will taste three samples of Wasatch brewery's best beer. You will get to try the creamy richness of Devastator Double Bock, which according to Wasatch brewery, has developed sort of a cult following. Nitro Polygamy Porter is a smooth, chocolatey porter that goes well with any food pairing. First One Down Winter Warmer Ale is a seasonal brew that is sure to warm you up!

You will also get to try two fantastic flavors from Squatters Craft Beer. Hell’s Keep Belgian Golden Ale is a devilishly delicious Belgian-style brew and Hop Rising Double IPA adds a malty backbone to the traditional IPA. Fun fact: Squatters master brewer Jason Stock is pictured on this brew’s label.

This exclusive event has limited seating and reservations are required. Seats cost only $45 a person and seating for dinner reservations start at 5 pm.
