A few words from Superintendent Trevor Rintala

Fall colors finally spread throughout the wood line here are the Wilderness.  Amazing seeing the course in such fabulous shape with the brilliant fall foliage, yet bittersweet knowing we are wrapping up for the season. It has been an absolutely awesome season, and I can’t be more grateful for all of the amazing comments the crew has received from our loyal customers. We are already getting excited for next spring and have been planning many winter projects. Grooming cross-country ski trails is always rewarding, as the course offers breath taking views when snowcapped. With all that in the forecast, we are reminded that there is still plenty of work to be done before the golf course is put to bed.

Lots of heavy rains have been frequenting the course and we’ve been dealing with constant bunker washouts and drainage problems.  Pictured below is assistant superintendent Mike Galindo searching for a clogged drain on the driving range.

With another season so close to being in the books I want to thank you all for making your way out to the course, and also thank my staff for all their hard work and effort put forth to make the best possible playing conditions. With most of our younger staff off to college or back in school, the core of our labor force is making great strides to putting The Wilderness to bed.

Just as soon as things firm up we shall be out aerifying tees, greens, and fairways getting things just right to ensure a successful rise from the winter. We all hope to see you soon, and once again, thank you! Thanks for playing our game!

See you all out there on the short stuff.

Just a bit from Sales & Marketing

Time really flew by this season at The Wilderness! We blinked, and it was over! It's truly been a pleasure planning golf getaways with both new and experienced golf group coordinators, and we're eagerly preparing package offerings for the 2024 season.

Before we close, here's a shoutout to the dedicated crew who nurtured the course so well this season, Wilderness Superintendent Trevor "Trey" Rintala and his Course & Grounds team. We appreciate you!

We can't wait to see you!
